Section 7 - Rudder
....May 2, 2020

Made up a simple bender to insure a nice straight clean bent edges at the counter weight. Worked out great and real simple.

Preliminary Avionics
....May 2, 2020

Panel Option 4.2 - This is the panel. I don't think the 650 will fit at the top... too deep and will conflict with bracing. Reasonably happy with this layout. The switches, etc will change as other component decisions are made.

Electrical/Lights
....Apr 26, 2020

Started laying out and planning for wiring and electrical. This is a little early in the process, but want to work through this before the QB fuselage arrives in a few months. First draft of the wings.

Preliminary Avionics
....Apr 17, 2020

Panel Option 4.1 - Reasonably confident this is my panel. The back and forth has been over standby instruments for IFR. If you have ever flown with a GTN 650 in turbulence, you will understand why it is up against the glare.

Fuselage Cradle
....Apr 16, 2020

Dr. Ken Sauve was kind enough to be the guinea pig on this cradle. He constructed a cradle and provided me with some clarifying feedback. Thanks Dr. Ken!

Section 7 - Rudder
....Apr 15, 2020

Rolled the leading edge of the rudder. Wasn't as bad as I feared and turned out acceptable.

Fuselage Cradle
....Apr 4, 2020

My QB fuselage is still 3 months away, or so. I started working on a support cradle for when it gets here. I want this to be strong and low to the ground. Any and all suggestions and comments are welcome!

Preliminary Avionics
....Apr 1, 2020

Placed my deposit with Stein Air, to get on the list. They are 8 to 10 months out so getting on this list now is important. Having a professional shop manage these modern avionics and wiring harnesses is a real peace of mind decision. ---> Stein Air Website <---

Preliminary Avionics
....Mar 28, 2020

Panel Option 3.1 - Another option for the panel. Still not comfortable with the standby instruments. Might be making too much out of this but the G3X and GTN650 are both GPS based... Pair of G5's with an independant VHF radio?

Section 24 - Wing Tips
....Mar 26, 2020

Placed an order with AVEA Engineering for their Zip Tip Wing Tips. These wing tips house all of the necessary aircraft lighting. Strobes, nav lights, position lights, taxi lights and landing lights. ---> Zip Tips <---
